At a consultation we can discuss whether composite bonding is a suitable option for you, we can give you an idea of how it can look. We can temporarily place the composite over your own teeth to show you a ‘trial smile’ before you decide to go ahead.

Can composite bonding make my teeth look straight?

If teeth are overlapping or crowded, composite bonding may have to be thicker on certain teeth this could lead to food trapping and gum problems. We may give the option of straightening your teeth before composite bonding to give a natural, longer lasting, healthier result.

How does composite bonding work?

To sculpt your bespoke smile, soft composite is placed over clean teeth, skillfully shaped and then hardened using UV light. The composite is then polished for a final finished appearance. At Nuvo Dental we ensure that we keep up to date with the latest techniques and invest in using premium composite materials.

How do I keep my composite bonding looking good?

Regular aftercare is recommended to preserve your new smile! As the composite bonding added is usually thinner than your own tooth, it requires care and regular maintenance.
We advise maintenance appointments from 3 monthly to yearly depending on the dentist’s recommendation. Combining maintenance appointments with regular hygienist visits and routine dental examinations helps maximise the longevity of your composite bonding treatment.
